I envision my creative process as a spark of energy spiraling forward much like electricity moving through a coil, around and around and with each revolution a few pieces are produced. Some will relate and some may relate on the next time around. Eventually these pieces will collect into different groups but all held together by common elements.

Danny’s Bio
As a small child, my Brother and I would spend summers visiting relatives in Los Angeles.
During our stay, we would often drive past the scrap steel-yards of Compton, a city situated south of downtown. Always intrigued by the huge piles of rusted and twisted metal shapes, I was equally fascinated by the old rusted equipment that moved debris from place to place. At times I would be able to spot an old car, recognize an appliance of some kind, as well as other objects from a different era; just before they were crushed and hauled away by the freight trains. In the nearby Watts Community stands “The Watts Towers”, which are a collection of 17 sculptural structures. I have since come to realize that it is considered an excellent example Outsider Art, but then I was just puzzled. I asked my uncle “What’s that?” and he said, “Some crazy old man was trying to build a tower to the clouds.” The thought of someone building their own tower to the sky with scrapes of rusted steel was amazing, and that concept has captured my imagination ever since. After returning to my home in San Jose, I would often find myself rummaging through my neighbors' burnt trash piles looking for treasures of all sorts. I would find melted bottles, blackened cans, and other discarded items; imaging that what I had found were ancient artifacts. Subsequently, I found myself building and assembling all sorts of things from these findings. Although the tools were limited and craftsmanship poor, I did put a lot of thought and energy into each project. Later, high school shop classes were an important step in my education, because that was where I learned to manipulate wood, metal, and other materials. After graduating from high school, I gravitated to the building trades that now seem like a natural evolution. I was content with my chosen occupation until the day I happened to pick up a local community college catalog. In that catalog, I discovered a design class that sounded interesting and signed up. It was in that class that I found out about the important elements that help in the creating of two and three-dimension artwork. I was greatly intrigued. For the next three years, while still working, I took an array of classes at West Valley Community College and started showing my artwork. Before I knew it twenty years had passed and although I wrote poetry, I felt there had to be something more. I got married and later parted with a wonderful son. My son Aaron doesn't require the same amount of attention as he once did; therefore my time has been freed up. At the same time, I began working with a new medium – clay. After working in ceramic's for five years, I began combining steel into my ceramic work and am currenty casting concrete, fabricating steel and chipping glass.
I often refer to this unique of materials as high-rise.
